A Short Love Story
A man and a woman who had never met before but were both married to other people found themselves assigned to the same sleeping compartment on a trans-continental train.
Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly -- he in the upper bunk and she in the lower.
At 1 a.m., the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying, "Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet and get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold."
"I have a better idea," she replied. "Just for tonight, let's pretend that we're married."

Greek Court: Lesbians NOT Just From Lesbos
A Greek court has dismissed a request by residents of the Aegean island of Lesbos to ban the use of the word "lesbian" to describe gay women.
Three residents of Lesbos, the birthplace of the ancient Greek poetess Sappho whose love poems inspired the term lesbian, brought a case last month arguing the use of the term in reference to gay women insulted their identity.
In its decision, the Athens court said the word did not define the identity of the residents of the island, and so it could be validly used by gay groups in Greece and abroad.
The ruling ordered the plaintiffs to pay court expenses of 230 euros (about $400).
"This is a good decision for lesbians everywhere," Vassilis Chirdaris, lawyer for the Gay and Lesbian Union of Greece, told Reuters. "A court in Athens could not stop people around the world from using it. It was ridiculous."
He said the plaintiffs were free to appeal the decision in a higher court.

When we last checked in on Flint, Michigan, Voyeurwebbers, city officials and Flint's Police Chief David Dicks were touting the city's new saggy pants ban. The plan was to arrest people in Flint with saggy pants and charge them with indecent exposure.
Chief Dicks told the local news media he will not back down from his plan to charge those whose saggy pants expose too much underwear or bare bottoms.
This week, however, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) announced that it is coming to the rescue of Flint's saggy pants wearers and plumbers, and intends to file suit against the city of Flint. The ACLU's Michigan chapter said it is seeking to speak to those targeted by the policy. after Chief Dicks.
"We are confident that young men in Flint will contact us now that the chief has announced that he won't budge," said Michael Steinberg, legal director of the Michigan ACLU. "If they do, we'll sue. We may have the dubious distinction of being the first saggy pants lawsuit in the country."
However, Dicks said he will not be discouraged by the threat of an ACLU lawsuit. He said Flint police are "going to keep doing what we're doing."
As Eye sees it, Voyeurwebbers, the City of Flint -- and Chief Dicks -- should throw in the towel on the saggy pants plan. While saggy pants may not make the fashion runways in Flint, or anywhere else, they are not ipso facto indecent, nor is showing a little bit of butt crack. Besides, it seems to Eye that the good law enforcement officers in Flint have better, and more useful, ways to spend the taxpayers' hard-earned money ... like catching actual criminals. K.
